As we had a free day, Maureen decided that we were definitely staying at the hotel until the blog was completely up to date!!!! However, it was a beautiful sunny day outside so I talked her into exploring the city while it was so beautiful outside. I promised that we would come back to the hotel later in the day and finish the blog.
Unfortunately, the universe had other ideas...
At breakfast, thanks to Maureen, we discovered that the Ukranian soccer team was staying at our hotel because they had a game against Iceland that evening - I felt that we should try to get tickets to the game but apparently not. So I thought we should at least try to find a bar where the game was showing. It took a lot of persuading but eventually, she agreed - at about 18.45, 15 minutes before the game was due to start!!
However, to go back to where we set out to explore this wonderful city and discovered that the universe was playing silly buggers with our plans...

Now I'm getting really confused......this is like a novel which skips back and forth from the present to the past, leaving pictures along the way explained in a story which seems to confuse me even more...maybe I'll have to stop drinking (or drink more?) in order to keep up the pace of your travels through these countries? Good to see you arrived back in Prague (I think), amazing you only have a few days left before the big trip home!! See you soon, love Pam and Vernon xxxx
